Hello Kevin
This is amazingly ignorant, however I have successfully downloaded a free trial of Adobe Photoshop but the icon never appeared on my desktop in order for me to begin... where do I retrieve it from?

I know it has been downloaded as I was sent a message that the download was successful (as well as the program appears in my Add/Delete Programs (Control Panel)).

I am using Windows XP.  Initially I had a lot of trouble iwth the download as I tried to use Firefox for download.  After spending time on Adobe site figured out what was necessary for download to finish.

Bottom line, can't find the icon to begin.

Hi Susan,

Did you check your applications folder in your computer? The icon never goes directly to your desktop, it always installs in your apps folder. You can also try the Windows menu and see if you can get to the application by choosing the "show all applications" in the quick menu.
