Adobe Photoshop/Text tool commits with enter!

Question
I just installed Adobe Photoshop CS3 a few weeks back, and so far it's been running fine....Except for the text tool. I'm used to having the cursor move to the next line when I press enter/return, but when I do it on CS3, it commits the text, and the cursor disappears!

AND the weird thing is, this ALSO happens on Adobe Photoshop CS2...which I still have on my laptop for sentimental reasons.

I know it's a minor thing and I could live without it, but it helped me out a lot in the past. What can I do to fix this problem?

Answer
Hi,

The text commits when using the enter on the Num Pad, if using the regular Enter on the keypad then there should not be a problem. I also found that the text commits when using a laptop, I had a Dell laptop and installed a keyboard and a mouse separately because it was fustrating to the use the built in mouse on the laptop especially to crop images.
