Adobe Photoshop - Making attractive background

Expert: Dyllian Rancharan - 9/3/2009

Question
Hello!  I am trying to find a way to make an attractive looking background in a 950x295 banner that I need for a website.  the photo is not 950, so I need to fill in the rectangles on the side of the photo with something that will look nice on my site.  I have attached the sample of what I am referring to.  Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Jayne,

Even tho the photo is not 950 X 295 you can still make it that size. Open the banner on photoshop and click those dimensions in pixels. Then open the image on the file you had attached, drag the photo into the page with the banner size you opened. Play with the image a little until you achieve the desired banner.

Hope it works out for you. This is just a suggestion instead of adding a background that might not work with your theme on the website.

Regards,
Dyllian
