Adobe Photoshop/Print/work settings
Expert: Huma Riaz - 9/2/2009
QuestionHi,
I am relatively new to photoshop and I would like to start printing large canvas prints (I do have a printer yet). For something up to say A0 in size - what settings (DPI, Colour and anything else I have missed!) would you suggest I work in?
Regards
Cameron
AnswerHi Cameron,
You could start working i In design or illustrator for the safer side, as Photoshop might have resolution issues.
For the DPI, what is the ideal procedure is to make file in centimeters and print it in FT or inches or whichever size you'd like to.
lets say you have a 10 x 20 ft size to be printed which has large graphics and its is not physically possible to maintain it on softwares, make the proportionally smaller canvas in the software in centimeters and print it in feet. The resolution for this page could be 600DPI or max 1200DPI.
Hope this information is useful, feel free to ask anything further
