Question
QUESTION: I have a file for a brochure saved as a PDF, can attach it to an e-mail, but then cannot open it.  This happened before with a PSD file.  I can open it in Photoshop CS2 (Education version), but it won't open when attached.  I sent an earlier version, no problem, but when I made the one text edit to the file, it now won't open after attached.  Do you know what I can do to fix this?  Thank you!

ANSWER: hmm.....

do you get an error message...or just it just not open?
And what platform are you on?
Which CS did you make the original in?

QUESTION: I do not get an error message.  The PDF file attaches (but takes a while), then when I try to open it I get a blue colored box with a cross in it and the file doesn't open.  I am using Windows XP operating system, gmail, and Photoshop CS2 educational version for creating the actual file.  My daughter created a PSD, we saved it as a PFD, and sent it fine.  I made an edit in the PDF, then realized I probably should have done it in the PSD then converted to a PDF, but none of the files will open when attached to the mail message.  Hop this helps and thank you!

Answer
hmm...
I have no idea, nor does google.

So, let's try these guesses! (feel free to ask again).

1. Your file is corrupted. When you opened the file to fix the file the second time, it might have not liked that. I don't know why it might not have liked, eh, it's adobe. I suggest going back to the original file that infact does open, refix the problem and save it as .psd.

1.5 Your file keeps getting corrupted as it's being downloaded.

2. your file is too big. try opening it on a computer with more ram

3. you saved it in a CS that's higher than the one you are opening up with now. Don't do that.

again, these are all guesses, please feel free to ask again, or tell me it didn't work and I'll my more educated guesses :)
