Adobe Photoshop/image sizing

Question
Hi, I produced a 20"x30" image in photoshop elements.  I flattened the image and saved it as a jpeg and sent it off to Staples to be printed. When they went to print they said it was an 8 1/2 x 11.  What did I do wrong?  Thanks!

Answer
Hi Tracey,

Your 20 x 30 inch image would not proportionally fit on 8.5 x 11.

They probably need a higher resolution image to print at that size. Find out what their resolution requirements are for their printer and makes sure your image is at least that.
You also may be able to have them enlarge the image to the size required.

Hope this helps,
