Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop 7 Freezes down

Question
I have Photoshop 7 CE and everytime when I want to save a Jpeg file it is just freezing the whole program and I have to force quit.In other file type does work well.What could be the problem.The settings are 8 bit/channel and RGB.

Hi Gabi,

Try saving as a jpg by using the "Save For Web" menu selection. If this crashes as well you should reinstall the program.

If you settings were wrong, alpha channels, layers, etc, the jpg option would just be greyed out and you couldn't select it. The fact that it attempts to save as a jpeg and freezes indicates a program error.
