Adobe Photoshop/photoshop cs 4 wont run after installation on mac book pro

Question
I recently brought the adobe design premium package with flash, illustrator, indesign, photoshop and etc...

after installation all other application works but just photoshop, it just wont start at all...
it will pop up on the deck for a second or two and just disappear. the program wont run at all. other applications like illustrator, indesign etc... all work just fine but just not photoshop... i dont get it what's wrong. no error or anything. just pop up and then disappear.

the spec of my macbook pro
mac osx 10.6.2
2.53 ghz intel core 2 duo
4 gb 1067 mhz ddr3

Hi Nic,

What version of CS did you purchase? If you have CS3, it is not compatible with Snow Leopard. If you have CS4, go to Illustrator, then the help menu and "Check for updates" and run all updates - there are a lot (almost 4 gigs) so you may have to run the update several times. Also do the same with the Mac updates. It could be that you need some updating to fix an incompatibility.
