Question
I have a 10,000 image library set up in Photoshop Elements 8 for Windows. I've switched over to Apple and see that the Apple version 9 now has the same caatalog structure as Windows. Up until 9 the Apple version used Adobe Bridge as the "cataloger". Do you think there's a way to convert my 8 Windows catalog to a 9 Apple one?

I've tried Aperture as a possible candidate and I'm not too crazy about it's cataloging function and Bridge doesn't work for me too well either, so I'd like to stay with ELements.

Thanks for any help or direction. Getting help out of Adobe like this is torture.

Answer
Hi Bob,

You can export out any albums and organizer items you have in Elements 8, then import them into Elements 9 maintaining all structures and tags. It's super easy:

In the Elements 8 Albums panel, choose "Export All Albums".

Then transfer the files/folders onto your Mac.

In Elements 9, go to your Albums panel, and click the "+" icon and choose the XML file that is included with the files.

Thanks
