QUESTION: Hi Glen, I have PS 7 and I notice when I turn the grid on, the grid is more heavily weighted toward one side or the other, or from top to bottom.   How do I make the grid from side to side, and from top to bottom, show the exact centers points?  Hope this is clear.  Thanks.

ANSWER: Hi Tim,

In preferences you can change the increments of the grid as well as the units of measure. Try to make the grid evenly divisible into the width or height of your image.

QUESTION: Hi Glenn,

Thanks for your reply.   Is there a way to have PS 7 automatically "find" the centerpoint of either the horizontal or vertical in the grid?   I can do what you suggested but wonder if that will actually find the real center for me?

Hi Tim,

Perhaps the easiest way to find the center of an image is to go to View>New Guide and place two new guides on your image - a horizontal guide that is one half your image height and a vertical guide at one half your image width. These guides will float above the grid lines and highlight the center of the image.
