Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop and Okidata C530 colors printed

Question
Hello Glen,

I just purchased an Okidata C530 Color Laser, and when I print, instead of a blue background (printed on a greeting card on cardstock), the color printed is greenish.  What printing preferences should I use?  When printing on my inkjet, all colors on my monitor and what is printed are the same, so I know what I see is what I get.  Injet settings: Photoshop manages colors and I disable printer from managing the colors. I use sRGB 2.1 printer profile rendering to perpetual. On this new Okidata, can you give me the proper settings to get an accurate print?

Thanks so much!!

Answer
Hi Jamie,

The Okidata C530 is a CMYK printer, you may want to convert your images to CMYK before sending to the printer. The Okidata doesn't seem to accept ICC profiles, so you'll have to use their software to calibrate the printer to get the results desired.

They have a color utility you can download to adjust the color print to what you see on screen.

Hope this helps,
