Adobe Photoshop/Pixel aspect ratio

Question

I am having problems with the type cursor in Photoshop 7. It is very long and makes it difficult to rearrange or move the text around the page. One other expert already told me to either reinstall the program (which didn't fix it) or to change the pixel aspect ratio to 'square'. My problem is that i cannot find where to fix this problem. I googled it and it said to go to 'image' or 'view' tab, but it's not there. How can i fix this?

Hi Ceci,

There is no option to change to a non-square pixel in Photoshop 7, this is not your problem. Any images created in Photoshop 7 have square pixels.

I would first try resetting the type tool. With the type tool selected, click on the large letter T in the left of the toolbar to open the Tool Preset picker. In the picker click on the triangle to open a flyout menu and select rest tool.

The cursor size is controlled by the system, try turning off any Accessibilty software and re-launching Photoshop.
