How can I convert 3 scan word documents and a picture into print
publishing ready 300 DPI resolution?

Answer
Hi Adebisi,

You'll have to rescan the picture and set the resolution to 300dpi or higher on your scanner. If you just open the images in Photoshop and increase the resolution they will not look any better. If you no longer have access to the originals then increase the resolution a small bit at a time with "Bicubic" interpolation to achieve the best results for the image and "Nearest Neighbor" for best results on the word perfect pages.

The word perfect documents would look best if the text were placed in a page layout program. Check with your publisher to see if he is able to do this for you.

You can also "Print to File" and use another program, such as Acrobat distiller, to create PDF's from the resulting .prn files. The PDF's can then be opened in Photoshop as 300 dpi files.

Hope this helps,
