Hi Ingrid,

Once you have the type set, go to Layer>Rasterize>Type to convert it to a normal layer. Command/Control click on the layer icon in the Layers Palette to select the type. Position your cursor inside the type and hold down the Command and Option keys(mac) or Window and Alt keys(pc) so the cursor changes to two triangles, one open and one black. Then tap the right arrow key to duplicate the type and nudge it slightly to the right, then tap the down arrow key to duplicate this layer and nudge it down slightly. Continue doing this to create depth. When finished, with the type on the last layer still selected, go to Edit>Fill and change the color of the face of your type to a contrasting color.

Hope this helps,
