Adobe Photoshop/Color Separation

Question
Dear Glen Demers!
I am called TOUCH-LUCK, a new user of Photoshop and just a self-study man, so I hope you will explain to me in details and how to do it best for designing.
I have a question related to a four-color image. I mean I have a CMYK image and wish to convert it to one-color image that can contain sufficient details of the image. In short, I need it to be printed with Transparency Paper by Printer Canon LBP-2900, not the Offset Printing at all. What must I do to make good quality? What is the way to make bigger dots for the image? I'll attach the image to you.
I am looking forward to your answer!
Best wishes and good luck!
Yours sincerely,
TOUCH-LUCK
AnswerHi TOUCH-LUCK,
Go to the Channels palette and select just the color you want to print by clicking on that channel. Then go to Print With Preview. You'll be able to print out each color individually. You can save the file in the Photoshop DCS format and select multiple files in the dialog window, this will save your CMYK file as four files, one file for each color separation, or five files, if you opt to have a composite preview file.
The dot size of the output is determined by the printing software and the resolution of your printer. You may adjust this by going to Print With Preview>Show more options>Screen and adjusting the values here. You can change the screen frequency and dot shape but I would not recommend doing this as the settings are usually optimized for your selected printer.
