Question

Layer Menu
Hi Kevin,  I am still trying to figure out drop shadows in 7.0.  Here are two screen shots.  I hope they help.  Is it possible that only the plus version works?

Answer
Hi Teri,

You are not in Photoshop 7.0, you are in Photoshop Elements, hence why you do not have the same menus needed.

Here is how you create a shadow in Elements:

In the Layers palette, select the layer that contains the photo or photo object to which you want to add the drop shadow. From the Windows menu, select Effects to open the Effects palette. In the Effects palette, click the Layer Styles icon, then select Drop Shadows from the drop-down list.

Thanks

Kevin
