Adobe Photoshop/Bad Gifs

Question
I have been using Quark 6.52 for a long time to make an eps, then taking it
into
Photoshop 8 to change the eps into a gif. This has always worked flawlessly
for me until a week ago. Now when I change the eps into a gif it is horrible.
Jagged and bad...can hardly read small text. I am not sure what happened but
I don't remember changing any settings. Please help! (Thanks)

Answer
Hi jodie,
I think the color setting have been tampered.. like may be its reducing the colours
do you save as gif by using the "save for web" feature?

if yes in the dialogue box of "save for web" on top right under the presets tab drop down select GIf 128 Dithered. and save.

Hope this helps, let me know if u need further assistance.
