Question
I have photos that I open in Photoshop 6.0 and I have to have the size for a contest entry no less then 150 or more then 300 dpi.  I want to change this through Adobe and not retake the photos. Can you help me?

Answer
Hi Rae,

You will need to go to Image>Image Size to change the resolution of the image. Once in the window, make sure "Resample Image" is turned off. (This will link W,H & Resolution). Then input your desired resolution. Once you input, you will notice that the measurement of the image will reduce. This keeps it intact and not degrade.

If your size is too small for your contest, then you are at a crossroads. You can recheck Resample and increase the size, but it will degrade the quality of the image. Your best bet if it is too small is to start with a larger image or take another photo.

Thanks
