Adobe Photoshop/quick mask

Question
Hi Kevin, I using quick mask to modify the depth of field and after I finish the selection, I want it to be natural so I try to feather it a bit but the feather button is not available, did I miss out something?

Answer
Hi Bonnie,

Quick mask relies on you to make your selection by painting into the image, so you cannot feather using the "feather" option for selection tools. You can use the Gaussian Blur filter to make the painted areas blurry. This will feather your selection when you exit quick mask.

Thanks

Kevin
