Question
QUESTION: Hello Kevin,
I have a problem with Photoshop CS5.
When I open a EPS file it asks me every time for Rastersize EPS Format settings.
They are by default Resolution 72, Mode CMYK.
How can I change them?
So every time I open a EPS file in CS5 to be.. example 300dpi RGB Color and Just pressing enter.
When using CS3 I entered my settings 1 time and they saved but not in CS5.
Hope you can help me.
Thanks,
Asen
ANSWER: Hi Asen,
Where are these .eps files coming from? (What app?)
There is no "sticky" setting or preference to change the resolution of an active eps file.
Thanks

QUESTION: Hi Kevin,
From Adobe Illustrator.
When i was using CS3 1 time I entered settings and its done saved for every next eps file but not in CS5.
Is there any possible way to change that?
Make every eps file I open to be 300dpi RGB Color?
ANSWER: Hi Asen,
As I said, there are no preferences or settings that will allow you to keep the settings to 300 dpi RGB color. It is picking up the settings that the .eps was saved as which is why I asked where they were coming from. Vector files always come in as this format.
Sorry

QUESTION: Hi Kevin,
Okay.. but they were saved in 300dpi RGB Colour and default settings is making them 72dpi CMYK.. isn't there any settings like CS3..? to be saved in 300dpi RGB ? :\
AnswerAsen,
I don't know how else to tell you this but there are no settings like CS3 in Photoshop CS5. With the advent of Smart Objects, most vector artwork is now placed into an existing PS file and not just opened. The procedure has changed along with the software. I am sorry and I wish I had a super secret way around this, but besides placing your file in an existing 300 dpi RGB PS document, you will have to input this each time.
