Adobe Photoshop/Hoarding Board Design

Question
Hi,

I'd a project on going to design a hoarding with 14480mm by 2480mm. How do I do it in photoshop? As the file is too big to design and when I tried to design. My PC hanged. Is there anyway to make ratio in photoshop?

Thanks!

Answer
Hello,

Generally these billboards are output at low resolution, 20 - 50 dpi. At 24 dpi a 14480 x 2480 canvas will only be about 92 mb in RGB color space.

If this is still unmanageable, you can make your canvas 7240 x 1240mm and tell your printer it is at 50% size.

Hope this helps,
