Question
I am wondering why it is that when I copy a jpg file to past it into my work space it is a lot larger in size physically than the original I copied it from.  It seems to resize my pictures when I try to copy and paste. How do I fix this? Margaret

Answer
Hi Margaret,

This is solely based on the resolution. If you are copying from a 300 dpi image to a 72 dpi image, that pasted image will appear 4x as large as the rest of the image. It is normal.

To fix, you can either make sure you are dragging from apples to apples (300 to 300, 72 to 72, etc.) or if you go under your general preferences you can turn on or off "resize image during paste and place" and this will also effect the image.

Thanks

Kevin
