Question
I want to batch convert images from RGB to CMYK to print in newspapers / magazines. Do you have any tips to maximize quality?

Samples of the types of images I want to convert can be found at this website

Answer
Hi Chris,

If you are grabbing images off the web, you have to be constantly aware of the image size. If they are lo-res and small, they will not work for print.

To batch convert from RGB to CMYK, use a Batch Process (found under File>Automate>Batch) and then choose the RGB to CMYK action to run on them. Unfortunately, the images you showed me were very vibrant and well outside the printable spectrum (or gamut) so when you transfer them, they will appear dull.

Thanks

Kevin
