Adobe Photoshop/Elements 11

Hello Eric
I am learning elements 11 and would welcome some advice.
just learnt how to produce a "matt" effect on  a photo.
also learnt how to generate a collarge, using the wizrd and used a template I downloaded. so far so good....
Is there a way to generate a template for a collarge with a matt effect, so each apature would have a shadow on it?

Many thanks

Thanks for the question. By Matt effect, you mean simulating the matte board used in framing pictures that give them a very wide border?

If so, you can use the Canvas size command, under Image = Resize = Canvas Size. Enter dimensions that are larger than the current size that shows up. For example, if it's 200 x 150 mm, then make the new size 225 x 175 mm.

With best regards,
