I'm a photoshop user for an engineering company and I'm getting this error on photoshop. The title of the dialog box is photoshop.exe- Application error and then on the body it says The instruction at "0x7c91998b" reference memory at "0x73bedba0". The memory could not be "read" Click OK to terminate the program and then underneath Click on Cancel to debug the program. I hope that you can help me with this issue.

Is this a "free" copy?

I ask because you shouldn't be getting the error otherwise. What is happening, I think, Is that your system's .dll stuff is not working with your photoshop (how's that for computer language :) )  When you have a not so legal program, this can occur - and has. arrg I say.  


if it is a paid copy that you got from Adobe, try updating everything first. Then reinstall. If that doesn't work, it's not the program.
