Question
I am trying to delete the background of my son's picture. I used the pentool and clicked the "create new work path". then I traced my son's image.  After I am done, I "make it into selection". Then I click invert selection (CTRL +SHift+ I) (at this point, both of my son's image and the border of the entire pic dotted lines were blinking. Then I clicked "delete".  After I clicked delete, I expected the background to disappear but instead nothing had happened. Can you tell me what has gone wrong?
Thanks!

Answer
Check two things

1. Layer should be LAYER 0 (double click if it is background layer)

2. Check your foreground color palate, it should have the white color to be filled.
