Question
Hi , I am kind of new at Photoshop. What is the best way to remove the background in a picture?  something like the magazines do.

Thanks! I am using the Magic Wand tool but the edeges involve too much work. Thanks!

Answer
so sorry bharat for late reply, this page has some problem, and i have been trying to open your question but everytime i open this, it fails.

The answer of your question is easy,

U can make mask (better for soft edges), you can make path (if the object has sharp edges). or there are other ways too.

If you want to make mask (Q) take brush tool (B), press Q from keyboard and check iof your pallete has 100% default colors (black/White) press (D) for confirmation.

select your object by covering it with the red color, and when you are done, press Q from keyboard again to have its selection.

now you can remove the rest of of the area (or can simply side it through layer mask) by inverting the selection (Ctrl+Alt+I)

Hope this will help, if you want to know the path selection process also, let me know
