Adobe Photoshop/Clipping

Question
Hi,
I'm a graphic designer and I know how to use clipping paths as I use them a lot at work. I'm trying to do this job on my laptop at home and the image won't seem to clip at all. The path is there but I just can't get it to clip. I've tried a different file and image and it still won't work. I wondered if it was a setting in photoshop I don't know about? I have CS2.

Thanks

Dan

Answer
hi,

not sure your problem. Are you trying to just delete the background from the path, or are you trying to put this file into another program, such as Indesign?

I'm assuming you mean the latter, so what you have to do is make sure that you actully make a name for it and save it as a .tiff. (You can't just have it as a work path).

also, my professor said it's easier just to bring it in as a .psd. that way you don't have to worry about paths. and it doesn't finagle with your document.
