Adobe Photoshop/Combining Images

Question
I wanted to know how would I use one image/photo as an background and take another image and combine them. Not wanting two back grounds but using one as an background and the other just as an regular image/photo.

Answer
You can create this type of graphics through Layer masking.

. Make 2 layers, the below one will contain the background (name it BG) and above layer will have your object (name it Mask).

. Click on the MASK layer and press the second button from left in layers window (ADD A MASK)

. Take any tool i.e. brush to mask the unwanted area in your image. (Don't forget to choose the default color in color palette (D). The BLACK color will mask and WHITE will erase the mask from layer

As soon as you are masking the area you will see the background of your BG layer starts appearing. Keep working on this until you get desired effect.

Hope this will help, feel free to ask anything further
