I would like to know if there is anyway to completely remove a background in a photo.  For instance, we have a picture of a truck and we would like to take the entire background out and just leave the truck.  Is there any way to do this or would you know of a program that offers this feature?

yes...photoshop :)

I mean, you have to take it out yourself, but using some type of selection tool.  You've got your choice of the pen tool, the lasso, and the wand.  

basically, you would select around your photo and delete the background.
