Adobe Photoshop/Enquiry as regards colors
Expert: Huma Riaz - 8/31/2007
QuestionGood day, I will like to use this medium to ask you this question that bothers me in photoshop. I will like to know, how to change a picture in four colour to a single color of my choice. for example a picture in cymk to color green, or purple... so that when I import it into coreldraw it will be separated based on the color of d image.
I will be very grateful to receive your response and answer to my question.
Warm regards
AnswerHi Toppy,
Actually I tried to give your answers twice, but my windows closed abruptly and I had to write every time the new thing.
Now this is the third time I am writing the same thing.
The answer of your question is a bit tricky; you can use the channels for this task
check all the channels (Ctrl+1, 2, 3, 4) and see what channel you like the most, in terms of colors, let's say u liked channel 2, (Ctrl+2).
Delete the rest of the channels and now change the file mode to duotone (Image > Mode > Duotone) to make this you have to change your file from RGB/CMYK to grayscale first.
Now in duotone mode change the color from black to any other color you may like. (Remmeber the percentage or choose a pantone color so that i can be printable afterwards)
Now you can import this file to any other software i.e. CorelDraw or illustrator.
I hope this will help, feel free to ask anything further
