Adobe Photoshop/Font in Photoshop

Question
Hi, I asked this question previously but you did not understand it - hope I can be more clear this time.
Whenever text is used in Photoshop it is filled in with whatever colour we choose - I am wondering if there is a way to make text without any fill colour, just with the outline of the text?

Answer
ah!

yes, but not in Photoshop.

In Indesign, you can can choose colors, or lack there of for both the outline and the inside.

if you have to do it in photoshop, type a word and paint it white.  Copy the word, and make it a little bigger and place it behind the white text (big enough so that it outlines the white word.
