I save it as a .gif so it keeps the animation, but it changes the colors to a blocky black. instead of the actual color.

Help?

save it as a .png

and make sure your transparency button is clicked

And get an animation program. Photoshop sucks for this.  Flash and freehand are SO MUCH BETTER for what you want to do. Hell, even the free ones you can get online.

If you are saving this for web, go to save for web. Save as a .png - better transparency.
