Hi Sir,

I am creating a poster which will be placed on a board of 30 inches (width) X 20 inches (height). Now I am confused that what size of image should I use to create this poster because I never worked before for print media.

Please guide me should I use 30 x 20 inches size and 300 dpi resolution to create this poster or should I use smaller size.

Please help me I am so confused.

I'm not really sure what you're asking.

It seems you are in the right.  If you have a 30 by 20 inch board, then yes, you need make an image that 30 by 20 at 300 dpi. Unless you want a white boarder.  That might be neat :)
