Question
Hi,you helped me with a question about setting up a children's book in PhotoShop and suggested the proper program was InDesign.  I now have InDesign and am learning to use it.  I think I'm being dense but I want to see the grids on the pages, but when I have have the show guides and show baseline grids in the view window I still don't see any guides or grids on the document pages.  Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?  Thanks.  I can see that In Design is going to be good but its frustrating.

Answer
It's only frustrating at first :) (and it will be frustrating, but then good!)

hmm.... press W. this view takes away all of the guides and pasteboard. (press W again to get out of this view :) )

if not, hit apple H. this gets rid of grids and lines only.

that should do it, let me know if it doesn't.
