Adobe Photoshop/Installing a font into my computer
Expert: Huma Riaz - 12/2/2007
QuestionI have been trying for some time now to install the font "bleeding cowboys" into my computer. I want to use it on my photoshop. All anyone says to do is to copy the font into the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder.
Each time I try to do that the computer screen tells me: "the file is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Wait until windows is finished using the file, and then try again."
My question is how do I install this font? If every time it tells me that the font is being used by me. Then does that mean that it is on my computer already under a dif name? Does it mean my computer doesn't have enough room for it? Cause if I don't have it yet why would it say that?
It just won't let me install it. Please help me out with this. It's really startin to get under my skin lol. thanks
Answer. open FONTS folder
. select File > 'Install New Font'
. locate your font from the drive directory
. Click OK to proceed.
See if this helps, I m sure this will install the font completely, otherwise repeat this proces right after restating the pc.
Feel free to ask anything further
