Adobe Photoshop/Making a black border

Question
Using Photoshop 7.0.  I would like to know how to simply put a black border around a text block or rectangle.  My books don't tell me, but I'm sure there must be an easy way to do this.  

Answer
make a selection of rectengle (use marquee 'M')

go to edit > stroke
and give a stroke to your selection.


its done.
