Adobe Photoshop/Monitors

QuestionHuma,
Thanks for the response - it was a big help. Could you tell which size you recommend. I'm looking at the G90FB (18" viewable) and the G220FB (20" viewable). Do you think stepping up to the larger monitor is a good idea?

Question -
I actually have a question regarding monitors in relation to website design using PhotoShop. Can you recommend some monitor specs or furnish some guidance? I have found huge differences in the LCD Flat Panels. The biggest problem I am having is being able to see pale colors like white smoke (F5F5F5). No matter how much I tinker with the settings, these pale colors are almost invisible regardless of which Monitor I have used. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Very kind regards,
Brian
Answer -
Dear Brian,
I have a very less experience in computer hardware, I mostly use ViewSonic or Phillips monitors. I never tried LCD screen as these screen has quite high-level contrast that mostly disturb the concentration if using for long hours.
I am sorry as I could not help much in this regard. You can ask any other expert in the category, they might help you easily.

AnswerDear Brian,
I will not recommend you much larger screens until you have a solid reason to do so. I personally used 21" screen but it's more of a TV monitor size rather than a computer screen, the viewing distance somehow make difficulties in operating.
I may recommend to go for 18" screen as this is a normal size screen which will help you to work freely on graphics software with all palette open and on adjusted positions, also on browsing with net will not be difficult on this size.
