Adobe Photoshop/Mysteriously increasing file size

Question
Hi Candice:

Whenever I load a file into Photoshop (any format), then save that file, even without modifications, the file size gets huge. For example, I opened a 359kb PDF, didn't do a thing to it, and after it was saved it became a 7.78mnb pdf. It is really frustrating when I'm asked to, for example change an advertisment, and it becomes 200x larger when I send it back. Any ideas?

Thanx,

Tom

Answer
Hey Tom,

There has to be something that you are doing, or there is a clitch in the system.  Make sure that your dpi is not changing on you.  I sounds like you are opening up the pdf in 300 dpi, thus making your small file into something large, which is not always a bad thing.  High space = high quality.

sorry, thats all i got
