Question
My softball team recently had a team picture taken outside. The actual people in the picture came out fine, but it seems that the background is overexposed because the sky is blending into the white buildings in the background. How can I fix it so you can actually see whats in the background?

Answer
either add a little blue to the sky, or put some contrast in the buildings.

sky: select your sky using the pen tool or the marquee tools
go to adjustments, selective color and play with the colors until you get a nice tone (easier to do than explain :) )

buildings, select the buildings, and go to image, adjustments, curves. Play with that until you get what you want.

there are several more ways to do this as well, all of which are located in the adjustments tab. play with them and see you get :)

Adobe Photoshop
