I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO DESIGN WEDDING, GRADUATION, BIRTH ETC. ANNOUNCEMENTS. (THE KIND THAT IS 5 X 7 AND USUALLY HAS PICTURES OF THE PEOPLE INVOLVED ON THEM.  THEY HAVE SPECIAL FONTS,COLORS AND DESIGNS.  I NEED TO KNOW IF PHOTOSHOP IS THE PROGRAM I NEED  OR TELL ME WHICH PROGRAM THAT DOES THIS AND WHAT KIND OF TRAINING IS INVOLVED. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP..PAM

yes, photoshop is a great tool for making annoucments :), the art part. (fixing pictures, using filters, etc...)

for layout, Indesign is best.  Using these two together is the way to go.

for help, I suggest the classroom in a book series - indesign and photoshop's.  they have good lessons.  I also reccomend doing some of the lessons from www.photoshopcafe.com.  There are awesome ideas in here.  


(I don't mean to be, well mean :), but it's VERY hard to reads caps.)
