Question
I use photoshop CS. I'm an advanced beginner - 2 months experience to date.

I tried to use the FILTER/RENDER/LENS OR LIGHTING command on one of my images but its 'greyed' out -  these are my favourite commands - please help me.

Answer
It does, and to save your file from graying it out, use high intensity and bulbs in lighting effect.

You could use multiple layers of the same image while applying the lights on one and play around with others to use shadows and lights by not distorting the image heavily. (Take help of layer mask for instance)

Lens flare is also a good filter; use it with more brightness and for fresh pictures.
