Adobe Photoshop/Pen Tool - Stimulate Pressure

Question
Hey there.
I'm not asking a how to question, but I seem to have some kind of, blip with my pen tool, or at least, the settings on it.
I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS2 and can't seem to get the stimulate pressure to work when I stroke a path. I've checked the settings with numerous sites, and closed and rebooted my Pc a few times, but for some reason it still comes out as a normal line. Without stimulating the pressure. I was using it to digitally ink a drawing, but for some reason it stopped working correctly. I haven't had this problem up until now, and I am not really sure what to do about it.
Thanks Az. xxx

Answer
Hi Az,
First try updating the drivers for your tablet, also there have been complains that this is some kind of a bug which isn't working well on CS2.
Check if the problem exists on CS1(may be try the trial version) to make sure its not the photos problem.

Alternatively just try this:
Set brush sensitivity if you are using a pressure-sensitive digitizing tablet, such as the WacomŪ tablet.
Select the Brush tool , the Pencil tool , or other painting tool in the toolbox.
Click the Brushes tab to bring the Brushes palette to the front or, if the palette isn't open, choose Window > Brushes.
To make the tool tip size change with pressure, select Shape Dynamics (be sure to click the word, not just the check box) in the Brushes palette. Then choose Pen Pressure from the Controls menu under the Size Jitter slider control.
To make the opacity change with pressure, select Other Dynamics. Then choose Pen Pressure from the Controls menu under the Opacity Jitter slider control.
Note: You can set pen pressure for other brush characteristics as well. The Brush palette contains controls that vary the angle, flow, scatter, texture depth, and roundness of the stroke according to pen pressure.

Hope this helps, All the best
