Question
How do I make a '.GIF' transparency of my '.JPG' Hot Pepper, to use it as an 'apostrophy'(ie,Harvey's Hot Sauce) in Print Shop Delux 12?  When I copy the image and paste it into PrintShop, I still get the 'white background' and can't make it transparent. I have been trying the following but cannot make it work:
"From the Background image, select all, or select what you want to keep of the image, depending on what's easier... Copy it. Immediately hit Paste. It will make a new layer. Using Magic Wand works well in certain instances. Try altering your Tollerance levels. On the background layer, either hide it, or delete it, then 'save copy as' in .gif format, maintaining your transperancy."
Would you be so kind as to email me "ALL" of the step-by-steps, please...?  Thanks kindly - Harvey

Answer
press the wrong button, sorry ;)

I don't really know what else to tell you, as this is what your supposed to do. I'm surprised that printshop can actully do this as once upon a time, it didn't.  I guess Ill just say what that guy said, but in my own words ;)

move your mouse over to the layer and ctrl + click, this selects your image

copy

paste

throw the other layer away or hide it (the eye)

save as a gif.

if that doesn't work, you might have to put a clipping path on it.

move your mouse over to the layer and ctrl + click, this selects your image

go to the paths tap

click the triangle

create work path

.5

double click the path

press enter or name it something else if you wish

save as a giff or .tiff? (dont know if that will work)
