Hello,

I'm currently having a web designer create a new template for my website. He's using Photoshop. I would like to be able to do it myself in the future. I use FrontPage for my website, but it's very limiting. I also want to design/create a cartoon that I've been developing on paper. Is Photoshop the best package for both web site design and creating cartoons? Is it easy to learn? Is there something better?

What do you think of Dreamweaver?

Dream weaver is the best software for professionals, although my job responsibilities are not related to web now and I am not using dream weaver since the last two months, but it is the great software for designer and developers.

for Photoshop, yea, it is good for you to learn if you want to work on website designing, for illustrations it is a good software but if you want to animate this cartoon, better if you use, macromedia freehand/Illustrator because through flash you can animate and in flash it will be a tough task for you to import/animate a raster based drawing. (Poor quality, large size)

But if you only want to draw halftone (picture based) cartoon, Photoshop is a good choice.
