Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop color

Question
When i transfer an image into photoshop cs2 on PC, this image looks different than it did in windows. Ex: it becomes lighter and the colors are slightly off. A dark blue now looks almost purple. When i exit this and then view it again outside of photoshop or print it on a printer, the new image again does not look like it did in photoshop. Therefore i know it has to do with calibrating photoshop to match it with my computer and its other programs, but how do i do that? Thanks for your time.

Answer
hey there,

for best results, you'll need to buy a calibration program.

for the time being, make sure all of your work is in CMYK.  You can also change your color to match other monitars.  when you go into a new file, it will ask you what type of color scheme you want, and you can fix it there.

however, if you are serious about this, buy a program.

good luck :)
