Question
Which plugin from the Kai's range do I need to get the 'Page Curl' filter for PC?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Alan,

I did a little searching, and Kai's Power Tools is no longer available. I think that's where the original Page Curl filter used to be. Metacreations, the company that used to own KPT, was bought out by Corel several years ago, and you can get Kai's Power Tools, which was repackaged under the name Corel KPT Collection, here:

However, I don't see a Page Curl filter listed in the features. But I did find what sounds like a great Page Curl filter from AV Bros. Products:

Here's another one I found; personally, I like the one from AV Bros. better!

I also found this tutorial; it seems pretty basic, and you might not want the little rabbit picture they show underneath <grin> but if you download that .zip file, you get a free plug-in that will help you create a curled page. I haven't tried it, so I can't vouch for it, but you might want to check it out:

This might be a light version of AV Bros.' Page Curl -- I should warn you, this is one bright background page! Yikes! Anyway, here's the link; it's a direct download to an .exe file, and I was using my Mac to answer this question, so I didn't install it.

Anyway, I hope this helps. At any rate, it should give you a variety of things to explore.

If you need any further help, please don't hesitate to post back! I'll be glad to help you locate exactly what it is you need. If these filters don't look like what you want, you might post back and explain to me exactly the project you're working on, and maybe I can help you better.

I've used Photoshop since the release of version 2. I taught college commercial art and graphic design for 10 years, and within that realm, taught Photoshop at every level, and with each successive product upgrade. My experience with Photoshop is thus extensive and well-rounded, from photo retouching to color adjustment to incorporating Photoshop and ImageReady into Web design. I am primarily a Mac user (since 1985), but am also PC-savvy.

I've been a graphic designer for 22 years, was a national magazine art director, a designer for the Department of Defense, a college art instructor, and have my own freelance Web and graphic design business, LittleWorks (www.little-works.com). I've also worked for several printing companies, in both prepress and art.
