Adobe Photoshop/Photoshop versions

Question
I am an amateur photographer with a year old business.  I am trying to learn photoshop techniques to edit photos from books and recently found quite a few links online with some great tutorials.  However, it seems like most of the tutorials are for Photoshop versions 6.0 and above.  If I do need to upgrade, what do you recommend?  I need software that is relatively affordable but will offer a great deal of online support.  Any advice you can offer and maybe even websites offering tutorials would be wonderful!  Thank you!

Answer
Hi Janet, you can try lynda.com, this is a great site dealing with professioanl software online help.

Also; the more advance software is the most powerful, and so the price, but if you want to try for the previous version which may be less in price. you can try with Adobe CS or Adobe 7.0
