Hi, I've actually had this problem for a while.  I've been trying to figure it out and then I stumbled upon this site.  Photoshop 7.0 doesn't seem to recognize the scanner on my printer.  It recognizes the printer I know because it lets me print from Photoshop but when I got to import the image it doesn't list my printer's scanner.  Help?!  TT^TT

hmm....I can guess, but it really does depend on the scanner.

1. did it work before? If it did, it could just be because you're not updated. Update both adobe, and your scanner software.

2. go to your scanner's website and download the latest drivers. 9/10 times, that's the problem!

3. windows or mac? for windows, if not fixed, check and make sure the scanner is not working all together. If it isn't then it could be the cord, could be the driver. If you're still having problems, call the company.

If it's for a Mac, honestly, I've never been able to scan via photoshop, and I don't know why. I have to actually go into the scanner, scan, save as a .tiff, then go to photoshop and open.
