Adobe Photoshop/PhotoshopDeluxe memory error when using 1 GB

Question
Hi there,
I installed PhotoDeluxe on my new system, it has 1GB memory. When I try to open the program I get an error message "There is not enough memory (RAM) to launch PhotoDeluxe". When I replace the memory with a 512MB chip it opens the program? I have an idea that the program does not recognize that the system actually has 1024MB? Any advice on how to overcome this problem? I cannot find a patch with google. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Blessings to you.
Best regards,
J

Answer
Sorry for the delay Jackie,

I had this problem back in time when I had Macintosh, at that time I used to handle this problem with virtual memory option, I used to increase the virtual memory of the concerned application, and it start working efficiently. I have seen this option 'Virtual Memory (application)' in PC too, but since I was searching now for your problem, i am not finding it anywhere.

Maybe you know about this option, or you may find any techie PC guru who could help you out finding this.

Let me know if this helps. Feel free to ask anything further
